Black Friday 2020
Following from my Black Friday MOAD Top Tips, here is the post about what to expect over the next few days! In this post you will find predicted dates based on previous years, including upcoming dates and Discounts that are already confirmed. I will do up another Blog Post on the Tech deals… all the big offers your looking out for.
Bargain hunters will be delighted to hear that some stores have started their sales early this year. While we are currently under a Level Five lockdown and only essential shops are allowed to open their doors, that doesn't mean you can't already grab some amazing deals online.
Now you know me by now, that I love to keep an eye out for Black Friday sales so here we go, this is a list of predicted Black Friday offers coming up starting this week from the 23rd to the 30th November 2020 (including Black Friday & Cyber Monday)
This blog post is basing on previous years sales, the only issue with that is, this year is so different to previous, so it is a lot more difficult to predict what is going on sale & when!! But coming from the success of my Predicted Toy sale post I thought I would write similar for Black Friday, so it will get you organised for what’s ahead!
You'll find most retailers will be keeping tight lipped about what's to come - it's become almost a tradition - however as I find out, you'll be the first to know.
Here is a list of Irish stores, both big & small, offering Black Friday deals this year… Don’t forget to check online for smaller retailers selling same items, they also have great bargains.

Tayto:
Tayto Park Reveal Black Friday Weekend Sale - €10 OFF Tickets, which will be available to purchase from this Friday, 27th of November right through to Monday 30th of November at www.TaytoPark.ie.
Choose from an all access ticket which includes entry for all the attractions or, select an all access and lunch ticket which includes entry for all the attractions and lunch at the Tayto Park Lodge. Lots of information found here
Pharmacy & Beauty:
Boots:
Boots have started their Black Friday deals early, offering discounts across a range of products. With their Black Friday Beauty Steals, save up to 15% on selected premium & fragrance. Some are included under the Christmas 3 for 2 offers. Half Price Oral B toothbrushes. Their Star Gifts are still available, which some amazing offers this year.

Meaghers Pharmacy:
Meaghers have up to 70% off online for Black Friday, with Christmas gift sets on sale. Great bargains to be found online at Meaghers Pharmacy. Great place to pick up lots of Christmas gifts
McCauley Health & Beauty Pharmacy:
Black Friday Mega deals have started at McCauley Pharmacy, with offers up to 50% off cameras, up to 50% off Electrical, Up to 50% off Beauty plus All Fragrance Mega Deals.
Christine’s Pharmacy Navan:
Has up to 60% off for their Black Friday sales. They can make up lovely gift sets in gift boxes. You can also order online, Free deliveries over €50 spend.

The Body Shop:
Last year, The Body Shop had Black Friday offers on the 27.11.19 was 30% off plus an extra 20% of gift using a code.
This year, Black Friday is available online now with 20% off members special with code LYBC20, just sign up with your email to redeem. I will keep an eye to see if they go to 30% on Black Friday.
Spotlight Oral Care:
Have fantastic offers online on toothbrushes, floss & sets. Their Black Friday offers, Up to 30% off online, are available now. With free shipping over €70 spend.
There is no code required, the discount adds automatically. The offer finishes at midnight on Nov 29th. The brand has also launched limited edition sonic toothbrushes in the colours rose gold and grey, perfect as Christmas gift ideas. Click here for further information.
Toys & Books:
Smyths Toy Superstore:
Due to the restrictions & level 5, Smyth’s are closed, but are operating Click & Collect and delivery option. They have started their Black Friday offers online. They announced this year that they would not be partaking on the voucher sale in 2020. So keep an eye on the website for all their Black Friday offers. But please keep track of these prices!!
There are some rules however and Smyths don't want anyone buying in bulk.
A spokesperson says on their website: "Offer applies to selected lines only, while stocks last.
"Customer limits apply. No bulk buying. Smyths Toys Superstores reserve the right to withdraw or change this offer at any time."
Easons:
Easons have announced their Black Friday offer. Use the code BLACK for 25% off.
In 2018, Easons had 30% off everything (19.11) & in 2019, Easons had 30% off everything with a code BLACK.
Easons at the moment have 25% off fiction books, 25% off children's books and much more!
They might have a ‘Black Friday offer’ coming up on Friday, I will share on the page if they have any update.
SchoolBooks.ie
Get up to 50% off their Black Friday event. Up to 50% off Backpacks, Children’s books, 10% off Jansport, 20% off Fringoo, Zipit, Stem,Lunch, Learning Resources, 10% Sports Gear.
Tesco Toy Sale:
So at the moment, Tesco are restricted in selling Toys due to level 5. But in 2018 (24.11) Tesco had 20% off Lego & last year (20.11) they had 25% off Clothing, Footwear & Accessories. So hopefully in December they would roll all their toy offers in December.
The retailer also sells electronics and toys among other items in their stores but are prohibited from doing so under the same restrictions.
Mc Greevys Toys:
A selection of their Green Friday offers are available online at toysdirect.ie Big savings from lots of items & lots of great stocking fillers for less than €10. Free nationwide deliveries on orders over €50 & free local click & collect.
Smiggle:
Smiggle’s Colour Friday event 2020, 30% off all Full Price & 30% off 350+ Best gifts
Last year, Smiggle sale was have 25% off almost everything when you buy 2 or more products & then they repeated this offer again in December.
Halfords:
Halfords usually has something up its sleeve with discounts on ride-on toys, reduction on bikes, money off spends vouchers and so on! Last year, they had 30% off bikes the week before Black Friday, so I will update, when I see this offer again.
At the moment they have Free €10 voucher E-Voucher when you spend €50 or more.
Lottie Dolls:

So in 2018, River Island had a 30% sale off party ware on the 19th Nov & a week later (on the 28.11.18) they had another 40% off party wear.
In 2019, their 30% off Winter must haves was on the 21st Nov & again a week later 28th Nov, River Island Black Friday started with 20% off everything when you spend over €75 with a code 20off.
2020, River Island has started their 20% off ‘Week of Wonder’ + free delivery over €75 spend
Nike:
Nike Black Friday offer has just been announced. 25% off everything with code SHINE2020. This code ends on the 1st December.
Sports Direct:

Adidas:
Black Friday sale has started on their app, but when you add the code APP20 it gives you a further 10% off!

They have just announced their Black Friday offers… ‘Buy One Get One Half Price’ on everything sale, ends on the 30th November. Same sale they ran last year for Black Friday.
JD Sports:
JD Sports, another sports – fashion retailer, has started their Black Friday sales, including up to 50% off their biggest brands.

M&S:
Marks and Spencer’s sale has to be one of my highlight! As I’m sure you know by now, I love shopping in M&S! So I’m always delighted to pick up amazing bargains.
So as a prediction, in 2018, M&S sale 20% of ‘Friends and Family event’ started on 28th Nov 18 & on the 25th Nov, 25% off six bottles of wine and champagne until the 3rd of December 2018.
Last year, M&S 20% off womenswear with a code Winterstyle on the 16th Nov & a week later, they ran their 20% off ‘Friends and Family event’ with the code ‘yesplease’. Let’s hope this year is the same… I’m holding out to grab some lovely kids clothes! So the most anticipated Zara sale! When will it begin? Last year, it started on Black Friday (28.11) with 50% off selected items, with the same happening in 2018, so I predict the same will happen in 2020!

Name-it:
I hope Name-it will also hold their Black Friday sale again this year, their clothes are fantastic quality, last and wash so well. Their sale started on Black Friday last year with up to 25% off all items.
Next:
It’s sad to read on the Mirror paper that : ‘Next cancels Black Friday sale after Covid triggers £16million loss’
But the website does have a Sale section with up to 50% off All Next sale Items…So lets wait to see what Next announces themselves this week…. fingers crossed it will go ahead.
Next BIG sale! Last year (29.11.19) & the previous year (23.11.18) the Next sale started on Black Friday with ‘Up to 70% off selected lines’. I did find that the sale during the summer the stock went so quickly as they released the sale a day earlier on the UK market,so there was a very limited selection on sale online in Ireland. Hopefully this year though, if the shops reopen in December they have some sort of Christmas sale… let’s wait and see.
Mountain Warehouse:
Black Friday sales have started with ‘Save 50% or more on everything’. They also have a sale section with Up to 70% off. I always find the sales great in Mountain Warehouse. Great time to pick up kids coats, wellies & wetsuits!
In 2018, Mountain Warehouse had Cyber Monday sale where they had ‘Up to 50% off, plus extra 10% off code’.
Regatta:
Black Friday week, up to 50% off online now.
Last year, Regatta had Black Friday up to 50% off and extra 10% off selected jackets with code Jackets10, on the day itself. Hope they have this offer on again this year, as they have just released lovely jacket collection with Kimberley Walsh.
H&M:
Last year on Black Friday (29th of November) they had a discount code for 20% off everything! Let’s hope it’s the same this year, as I have my eyes on so many gorgeous kids clothes!

Aldi and Lidl:
As with the restrictions in place this year, we all know that they have cancelled their middle isle sales, so it comes to no surprise that Aldi & Lidl have also announced that thy will not be taking part Black Friday this year.
However under government regulations retailers are not permitted to sell non essential goods throughout the six weeks of Level Five restrictions. And sadly restrictions won't be lifted until December 1st, meaning that they cannot take part in the big day on November 27th, But let’s see what happens when they are allowed to reopen the middle isle section!
(28th Nov) Aldi announced opening of their middle Isle on 1st December:
For popular Specialbuy dates, and to ensure everyone gets a chance to get hold of these great value offers, a ticketing system will be in place at each store and a dedicated store marshal will manage customers’ queueing.

I will be keeping a very close eye on Amazon this Black Friday. At the moment they have their ‘Deals of the Day’ but I will post up lots of offers as I see them on Facebook and Instagram, coming up to Black Friday.
They will start rolling all the deals on Nov 22nd until 23:59 on Friday 29th November. Amazon is likely to have 20% off various warehouse deals, offers on Amazon Prime membership, discounted Amazon Music offers, the usual tech stuff & more
Best thing to do is to sign up to the Amazon Prime free 30 day trial, to get 2 day delivery to Ireland. Also with Prime, members get early access by 30 minutes for Black Friday offers, so it’s worth signing up for. Sign up here You can then cancel your membership within 30-days and pay nothing.
They start their “Boxing day” (St.Stephens Day) deals online from 25th Dec until the 31st Dec. They drop their prices on hundreds of Kindles, Laptops, and tablets, games and mobile accessories. This is also a great time to keep an eye on the website if you are looking for a good offer in the New Year.
I would recommend you install the Keepa Amazon tracker on your web browser, or searching the price history using website called camelcamelcamel. These handy websites will show you the price history of any product on Amazon. It will also allow you to track any product and send you an email if the price goes below a set figure or if it’s coming up in a lightning deal, very handy.

What a completely different year this is on all of us. Remember, don’t get too caught up on Black Friday, this year has been so challenging for a lot of us, both financially & mentally. I hope this guide helps you to wait and see what offers comes up this week and helps you save money too.
